UPDATE (October 21st, 2013): After not writing this blog much, I've decided to revive it. I've now been living in South Africa for two years. However, I'm still adjusting and will have much to write about, I'm sure.

I am an American who recently moved from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA to Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. This blog is about my adventures and misadventures as an American living abroad in South Africa. Since I like to travel, this blog may also include travel stories from other countries.

I grew up in New England (New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Massachusetts), and my husband Jackie grew up in Johannesburg. We now both live in Cape Town.
